Lesson 1: Making your first beaded necklace

In this lesson, you will learn:
- terms for basic tools and materials
- to determine a desirable length for your necklace
- to cut the appropriate length of wire for your necklace
- to design a necklace with design principles in mind
- to make simple pendants or charms
- to add clasps to beading wire
Step 1: Decide how long you would like to make your necklace.
- Loop your tape measure around your neck to determine a comfortable length. You may want to look in a mirror while measuring.
- Make note of the desired length.
- Add 6" to the desired finished length of your necklace. This will be the length of wire you will measure and cut in the next step.
